Registration is closed

Come join Great Outdoors for a stroll through the festive L.A. Zoo Lights this holiday season.

We ask that you RSVP here, so we can have an attendee count, but Great Outdoors will not be purchasing tickets. You are responsible for acquiring your own entry ticket for the event, priced at $14.95 adult/$11.95 children.  You can pre-purchase your ticket online here (https://lazoo.showare.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=15).

(There are also limited discount tickets available through Goldstar at $13.00 each.)  Be sure to purchase your tickets for the correct date if you purchase them online!  Or, tickets can be purchased the day of the event at the entrance to the zoo.

Free parking is available in the zoo parking lot.  The Los Angeles Zoo is located at the northeast corner of Griffith Park at the junction of the I-5 (Golden State) and the 134 (Ventura) freeways.  The Zoo is directly across from the Autry Museum of Western Heritage at 5333 Zoo Drive, Los Angeles, CA, 90027.

We will begin meeting at 5:45 p.m. in front of the Gene Autry Museum, directly opposite the Los Angeles Zoo entrance.  We will have hot cider, coffee, water, soft drinks available and holiday cookies/pastries before we enter the event at approximately 6:30 p.m.  This is a self-guided tour through holiday-themed light displays throughout the zoo grounds and takes approximately 60-90 minutes to complete.  The event is open until 10:00 p.m.

Dress warm and in layers, as the weather can be cool at this time of year, but we’ll be walking so you’ll warm up.  Bring an umbrella if it looks like light rain.  This event is noted to take place rain or shine, though heavy rain/severe weather may cause the event to close.

Hosts:   Danny Nava and Joe Stones.  Contact Danny (DNava@aol.com) with any questions.
