On this holiday weekend we’ll experience both the thrill and challenge of car camping/ hiking in the Eastern Sierra.

Great Outdoors takes you to the North Rim of the magnificent Grand Canyon - the majestic and uncrowded side regarded by many as The Secret Canyon. Some say you don't really know the Grand Canyon until you've been to the North Rim. Explore a place with soaring views and few people only with the Great Outdoors LA! Hurry, we only have very limited spaces for this trip and the earlier you reserve, the better! More details will be given about this trip but please download the trip notes and save your spot. For $70 (members), nothing could beat this piece of heaven!

Table Mountain Camp

Cooper Canyon falls - 3 miles from Buckhorn Campsite!

Table Mountain Campground is in the Angeles National Forest Big Pines area. It is a few miles from the town of Wrightwood. The elevation here is about 7,500 feet and the campground has a spectacular view of the Mojave Desert below. Summer temperatures are in the low 80’s with cool evenings. We will be at the Cherokee Lane section of the campground with facilities that include vault toilets, fire pits, water spigots, some grills, and some bear boxes. There are picnic tables, nature trails, and firewood is available for purchase.

10-Days Utah Nat'l Parks Loop Car Camp & Tour

This is one of those trips that stay with you forever! This includes visits to 5 National Parks (camping in 4 of them) and a driving exploration through 3 National Monuments and 1 National Recreation Area! This trip is planned so that you will only have to take off 5 days from work, beginning on a Saturday and ending on a Sunday right before Labor Day Monday, giving us 2 full days to enjoy the drive back to LA! Check out the trip notes for info about the "Warm Up Meeting" as well as the different areas we will be visiting including the Arches National Park, Natural Bridges National Monument and Glenn Canyon National Recreation Area. If registering after July 15, call first to see if spots are still available.
